Baccarat is played with 312 cards comprised of six standard decks 52 cards each.

Before the first cards are drawn, the player may bet on the Player, Banker or Tie. This is done by clicking on the chips he wishes to wager, then on the hand he wishes to wager on. He may also bet the Tie simultaneous to betting Player or Banker. After the player bets, the cards will be dealt.

The object of Baccarat is to bet on the hand that will have a value closer to nine or, in the case of the Tie, that the value of the two hands will be identical. Two hands of cards are dealt one for the Player and one for the Banker. Both will receive two cards, and a third card may be dealt to either, depending on pre-determined rules. The winning hand is the one with a value closest to nine. The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards. Aces have a value of one, face cards and tens count as zero, and all other cards are equal to their face value. If the total of the cards is greater than 10, the value will be determined by only using the last digit of the total. For example, if the player receives a 9 and a 5 for a total of 14, the value of the hand is 4. If the player receives a 9, a 4, and an 8 for a total of 21, the value of the hand is 1.

If the player wagers on the Player hand and wins, he will win even money on his original bet. If he bets on the Banker hand and wins, he will win even money on his bet. If the player bets on the Tie, he will win 8 times his Tie wager. If the player bets on the Player or Banker, and the opposite hand wins, he will lose his bet. However, if the player bets on Player or Banker and the hand is a Tie, the player will retain his wager.
