Caribbean Stud Poker is played with a standard 52 card deck on a table
similar to Blackjack. It is a 5-card stud poker game.
The game begins by the player making an ante. Clicking on the chips that
you wish to wager, then clicking the 'Deal' button will do this. The
player and the dealer will then be dealt 5 cards each. After looking at
his cards the player has two options. If he doesn't wish to continue in
the hand he may 'surrender' and forfeit his ante. If he wishes to stay in
the hand he will 'bet' and place an additional wager equal to exactly
double his ante.
After the player decides to 'bet', the dealer will expose his hand. The
dealer will only compete against the player's hand if he has an Ace/King
or higher. If the dealer's hand is lower than Ace/King he will immediately
pay the player's ante regardless of what cards the player has. If the
dealer has an Ace/King or higher then he will compete against the player's
hand. At this point, whichever hand is the higher ranking poker hand - it
will win. If the dealer's hand is higher, the player will lose his ante
and his 'bet'. If the player's hand is higher - he will be paid. The ante
is always paid even money, and the 'bet' is paid according to the
following table:
